Joey Bird is a Montreal-based indie rock project led by singer-songwriter and producer Austin Pigott. Bridging the gap between progressive songwriting and visceral live energy, Joey Bird blends vintage rock textures with modern alternative grit. Echoing influences of psych, pop, folk and post-punk to craft music that’s both vulnerable and explosive.
Following Ontario tours and the release of two 2025 EPs, Cowboy Chords and Chippin’ Away, Joey Bird has built a reputation for raw, magnetic live shows that blur the line between introspection and chaos. With Jairo Elomina (guitar), Owen Viragos (bass), and Daniel Nash (drums), the band channels love, anger, hope and laughter into dynamic, sweat-soaked performances.
